How Much Does it Cost to Fly Around the World With Kids?
To fly around the world with a family of four, including taxes, with multiple stops in various directions, using airline miles only for a single flight back home cost us:
$11,561
* Again, we were able to use airline miles accrued through our Chase Ink Bold and Chase Sapphire (my wife’s card) to pay for our flight home. Besides this, we used no airline miles on our big flights.

I will be writing a blog post about the process through Indie in the future, but if you are planning a multi-destination trip with children I honestly believe there is just no better way!

Wow, What a great Deal! All those flights and it cost less than it would to fly your family to almost any major European country.
Hey Dom, I guess it is relative. I was telling Wendy the other day “Who can actually afford to drop 11k like that?” but I guess we are lucky, although deep down I subscribe to the idea that it is a matter of priorities. The only way we were able to afford the trip was from making it a top priority years ago, saving hard and then figuring out a long term financing plan. Also, zeroing our costs back home (besides life and health insurance) has been a big win.
